Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne is the post boost propulsion supplier for all of the current U.S. strategic deterrence weapon systems and currently produces propulsion systems for the Navy Trident II D5 missile systems.

Aerojet Rocketdyne has supported the U.S. Navy's submarine-launched Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program for more than 40 years with boost and post boost propulsion systems produced at its Gainesville and Orange County, Virginia, facilities. To date, the company has manufactured nearly 4,000 Post Boost Control System Gas Generator Units for the Trident I C4 and Trident II D5 programs, along with the Nose Fairing Jettison Motors and Third State Eject Motors.

Today, Aerojet Rocketdyne continues its support on the Trident II D5 missile currently aboard USS OHIO-class submarines and baselined for the new Columbia class submarines.
