Tyler Evans

January 19, 2023 - Tyler Evans, senior vice president of Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Defense Business Unit, has been elected to serve on the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1, 2023.

“We are excited to have Tyler join our Board of Directors. His insights will enhance our deliberations and we appreciate Aerojet Rocketdyne’s support of our work,” said Chip Cherry, president and CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. “In this role, he’ll have the opportunity to engage further on issues such as workforce and talent recruitment.”

Elected directors serve a three-year term where they will aim to foster business development, support community engagement and increase economic vitality within Huntsville’s community. The Huntsville Chamber primarily works to expand business in the aerospace, defense, information technology, bioscience, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Evans has worked in the aviation and defense industry for more than 30 years. Based in the company’s Huntsville, Alabama, Defense Headquarters, Evans leads all Aerojet Rocketdyne missile defense, air defense, tactical and strategic systems, as well as ballistic missile target programs that directly support critical U.S. defense initiatives.

Evans received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech; holds a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University; and earned dual Master of Business Administration degrees from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Business and ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris, France.
